Howard Wilson Chaney, August 26, 1940 – February 12, 2018. He was born in El Monte, California to parents Dorothy Ann Hall and Howard Franklin Chaney.

He enjoyed friendship with the Lake Granbury Art Association membership. He was an active contributor to the Gideons International. He served respectfully in Aerospace for NASA, Rockwell, for the Space Shuttle and the Apollo program.

He was active in his church and served for 30 years as a youth leader in California before moving to Texas in 2014. Galations 2:20 is a favorite scripture.

He illustrated “Starshine”, “Canine Picnic”, “Something Funny Under the Sun” was written and illustrated by Howard.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Chaney of Granbury, a son, Byron Chaney of North Carolina, a daughter, Deanne King of California, a brother, Robert (Bob) Chaney of Arroyo Grande, three grandchildren: Robin Beck of Santa Ana, Daryl Williams of Long Beach, and Renee Moseley of Springtown and three great-grandchildren.

His funeral will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park at 11:30, on February 23rd, 2018 in Santa Ana, California. Thank you, Mission Hospice, for your help.
