Billie Irece (Parker) Cunningham Crossland was born to Emual Truman and Cora Parker on January 13, 1927, in Mineral Wells, Texas. She died, age 92, on January 10, 2020 in Wichita, Kansas. Billie grew up in and around Mineral Wells, TX, moving to western Texas after her marriage on March 10, 1951 to Wiley Melvin Cunningham. After her husband Wiley’s retirement, they moved to Granbury, TX. Wiley passed away in 1979. Billie later married Wendell Crossland on May 19, 2001. Wendell and Billie moved to Wichita, KS in 2007. Wendell passed in 2011 and Billie lived at Presbyterian Manor until her passing.
Billie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Emual Truman Parker and Cora (Barnes) Parker; husband, Wiley Cunningham; brothers, Conrad Parker and Kenneth Parker; sister, Lona Harchas; son, Jay Neal Cunningham; and second husband, Wendell Crossland.
She is survived by her sister, Cherry (Myrtle Ellen) Drennan; daughters, Carolyn (Harold) Ensign and Amy Cunningham, both of Wichita, Kansas, and Ellen (Ron) Owens of Parkersburg, West Virginia. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Dena Kelly, James Ensign, Andrea Owens, Neil Owens, and Kerri Buck, and great-grandchildren: Ashlynn Kelly, Blane Kelly, Tabor Ensign, Zoey Ensign, and Wilder Owens.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Believer’s Southern Baptist Church, 13909 W 21st St N, Wichita, KS 67235 on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 10 A.M.
Graveside service at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring, Texas on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 2 P.M.
